SAMURAI
BOOK

|
PC-184 SAMURAI
BOOK of POSTCARDS £8
From
the twelfth to the nineteenth century, Japanese warriors
relied on bows & arrows, spears & halberds,
even matchlock guns, but the most characteristic weapon
of the time was the sword, the men who bore it, the
Samurai. He owed unequivocal loyalty to a hereditary
feudal lord, known as a daimyo, & only very rarely
did a Samurai strike out on his own, wandering the
countryside in searhc of single encounters with other
famous duelists. The thirty colour woodcut prints
& paintings reproduced in this book of postcards
capture moments of high drama & serene nobility
from the golden age of the Samurai. |

"Great
resources! Would've taken me hours to get what I wanted
individually. A great time saver that it's all in once
place! And good value too."
